Men Are the Backbone of Civilization
- “If civilization had been left in female hands, we would still be living in grass huts.” — Camille Paglia
Men and women have equal rights. But men and women have important physical, social, and psychological differences, even including their brain structure. For these reasons, men and women play roles in society that are different and complementary.
Men are the backbone of society in at least four ways: Fathers, Peacemakers, Military Protectors, and Workers.
FATHERS
The definition of the nuclear family is a father, mother, and children. The term “nuclear family” is derived from the word “nucleus,” referring to the core of something. Thus, the nuclear family is the basis of all family structures.
Anthropological research likewise confirms that the nuclear family is the most basic and universal unit of social organization.
Fathers make unique and important contributions to a child’s development by providing a parenting style that fosters risk-taking, problem-solving through open-ended questions, physical activity, and emotional regulation.
PEACEMAKERS
