DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Title IX is causing far-reaching, harmful effects on students, schools, and families. One of the Title IX problem areas is domestic violence.
Domestic violence is known to be an equal opportunity problem — men and women are equally likely to be perpetrators, according to the Centers for Disease Control. But gender activists often misrepresent the problem of female-initiated abuse. This has had the effect of creating a negative stereotype of men, serving to marginalize fathers and weaken the nuclear family. The removal of fathers from the family has a broad range of harmful effects on childen and on society.
The myth that domestic violence is primarily perpertrated by men has resulted in laws and policies that represent a range of serious civil rights violations.
